Dual Master of Strategic Leadership Development and Master of Public Administration

Mission and Goals

The Master of Strategic Leadership Development (MSLD)/Master of Public Administration (MPA) dual degree offers a unique opportunity for individuals who seek leadership positions in public, governmental, and non-profit organizations. The dual degree program will equip students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to strategically lead teams and organizations to navigate challenges in an increasingly uncertain environment. Students will acquire the skills needed for leadership success in the public sector such as self-leadership, strategic planning, design thinking, personal branding, negotiations and conflict resolution, leading ethically, and leading diversity and inclusion. The dual program consists of 48 combined credit hours between the MSLD and the MPA.

Degrees must be awarded concurrently.

Admission Requirements:

  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution verified by official transcripts.
  • A statement of purpose of around 250-500 words describing how your current experience or education prepare you for the dual MSLD/MPA degree, and how this degree will contribute to your future goals or career development.
  • Two academic/professional letters of reference.
