Family Nurse Practitioner, Post-Master's Certificate

Registered nurses who hold a master's degree in nursing are eligible for admission. The core courses and experiences in the generic MSN program will be evaluated to determine equivalency to the required post master's certificate. Upon completion of the required courses, students have a choice to take the Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam from the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

MSN Academic Standards

Nursing students must maintain a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (“B”) to maintain good standing in the program. Students who receive a “C”, "D", "F", "WF", or "U" in any MSN course may repeat this course one time only on a space available basis. Two unsuccessful attempts in any MSN course or two grades of “C”, "D", "F", "WF", or "U" in any MSN course will result in program dismissal.
